Television interviews Max Foundation Bangladesh

Max Foundation Bangladesh started 2022 with a bang: with three television appearances on the popular programmes ATN News Hour Extra and Connect Bangladesh.

The moderator of all three programs was Munni Saha, a well-known Bangladeshi journalist and Television show host. Munni Saha invited our Country Director Bangladesh, Riad Imam Mahmud, and our Nutrition Specialist Dr. Sanjana Zaman, along with live connections to chairs of local governments in our programme areas, to a 90 minute live show on the 30th of December: ATN News Hour Extra.

The panelists discussed our Healthy Village Approach, the research behind it, and the best practices that reduce stunting while increasing the health and hygiene conditions of an entire community.

They also talked about strategies to scale up these best practices into new areas,  and how to influence policy through advocacy with regards to specific budget allocation for child nutrition.

They discussed establishing Local entrepreneurship platforms for women in particular, and how to ensure enough supply.

This show was followed by two 40 minute specials in a programme called ‘connecting Bangladesh’ on the 31st of December and January 1st. In this programme, host Munni Saha visisted the programme areas in Bangladesh to connect with the communities, and livestream connections with local government chairmen as well as Max Foundation employees. In these programmes, the communities asked questions directly to the panelists from the previous show: for instance, women and adolescents sought advise from Dr. Sanjana about various SRHR issues.

Besides these telivision appearances, Senior Programme Manager Kazal Ahidul Islam was invited to Clio TV’s ‘development talks‘ on facebook live, which can be rewatched here. Find the ATN television episodes on YouTube below!
