Our approach

Evidence for Scale

Design, test and scale the most cost-effective child health solutions to create long-lasting impact.

We base everything we do on evidence and data, allowing us to pinpoint the most urgent needs and scale the biggest opportunities to improve child health.

Scaling What Works: Evidence-Based Solutions

Real impact comes from solutions that fit within local systems. Instead of temporary fixes, we create scalable solutions that can grow beyond our direct involvement. Our Evidence for Scale Approach helps us identify, validate and scale the most effective ways to address complex challenges.

We follow a step-by-step process to design, test and scale solutions. This helps overcome barriers and gives local governments, entrepreneurs, and communities the confidence to expand proven interventions. This ensures we don’t just solve problems; we create systemic, long-term impact.

How We Scale Proven Solutions

Our approach follows a structured pathway—from identifying promising ideas to ensuring they achieve lasting impact at scale. We take solutions through five key stages:

  1. Initiation: Identifying problems and opportunities

Identify and analyse the biggest health challenges and opportunities, working with local stakeholders to co-design high-impact, cost-effective solutions that are the most needed.

  1. Pilot: Testing in real-world settings

Run pilots to test feasibility, cost-effectiveness and efficiency—ensuring only the most promising solutions move forward.

  1. Design for Scale: Making solutions scalable

Refine and adapt interventions so they can be expanded while aligning with the needs and priorities of governments, entrepreneurs, and communities.

  1. Implement at Scale: Delivering impact at scale

Take proven solutions to scale, generating strong evidence and addressing barriers to widespread adoption.

  1. Sustain: Embedding solutions for long-lasting impact

Ensure lasting change by transferring full ownership to governments, entrepreneurs and communities.

Embracing the Healthy Village Tracker

Bangladesh Expand article

No community development effort will be
sustainable unless local government is involved.
In the case of Bangladesh, we work with the Union Parishad (municipality).

We are happy that our Healthy Village Tracker, developed in 2020, is already adopted  by the Chairman of the Jainkathi Union Parishad.

“For achieving a Healthy Village, it is crucial to know the real-time progress of the community and to be aware of the challenges they are facing to achieve their target regarding WASH and Nutrition. With the Healthy Village Tracker, this data can be tracked automatically. Based on this data, the Union Parishad can easily determine what actions need to be performed to improve the health status of the community.”
